The government is working on plans to "revive the economy" amid an extension of the movement control order (MCO) to May 12. Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin said this includes plans for the short, medium and long terms that will be crafted by the Finance Ministry, Economic Planning Unit and the Prime Minister's Department. "The focus this time is to identify steps and initiatives which will spur economic growth in the short and medium-term, as well as drive public and investor confidence to revive the economy immediately," Muhyiddin said in a speech tonight.
