The Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) said it is conducting an internal investigation on Kuantan MP Fuziah Salleh’s claim that the agency had violated its own standard operating procedure when investigating her. At the same time, however, the MCMC said the taking of her photograph while her statement was being taken is for record purposes. “The MCMC wishes to explain that its officer’s action to take a photograph of a former deputy minister during statement-taking does not violate any standard operating procedure as alleged. “The taking of the photograph is part of procedures for record purposes only. “Nevertheless, the picture may have been shared to third parties,” the agency said today.
