PUTRAJAYA: Only 187 people are now being treated in hospitals for Covid-19, health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said today. He said two of the patients are currently being treated in the intensive care unit (ICU) but none of them require respiratory assistance. In a statement today, Noor Hisham said 14 more recoveries were recorded yesterday. With the latest recoveries, the total number of patients who have recovered and who have been discharged stood at 8,308 (96.4%) Noor Hisham said 10 new cases had been recorded, involving four imported cases and six local transmissions. The new cases involved five foreigners and five locals. They brought the total number of infections recorded to date to 8,616. There were no new deaths, meaning the death toll remained at 121.
