A Sabah PKR Youth leader claimed that former premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad appeared "uninterested" in bringing down Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin unless given a chance to helm the nation again.  "In fact, he (Mahathir) and (Sabah Chief Minister and Warisan leader) Shafie Apdal appear to reject plans to continue the agenda of reclaiming back the people's mandate if Harapan did not support Mahathir's bid to become prime minister for the third time," said state PKR Youth secretary Razeef Rakimin. He further claimed that the apparent rejection raised questions whether Mahathir had secured the needed support from Perikatan Nasional MPs in order to reach the minimum 112 lawmakers for a slim majority in the Dewan Rakyat.
