Firefighters put out a blaze at the parking lot of a low-cost flat in Kuala Lumpur early this morning.PETALING JAYA: Fifty-three motorcycles and eight cars were razed in an early morning fire at a People’s Housing Project (PPR) car park in Gombak, Kuala Lumpur. In a statement, the Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department said it dispatched fire engines to the site after receiving a distress call at 5.05am. Firemen arrived at 5.15am and were able to bring the blaze under control in 10 minutes’ time. The aftermath of the fire which razed 53 motorcycles parked at the lot.Nearly all 53 motorcycles were completely burnt while the eight cars were between 60% and 80% burnt. There were no victims.
