The announcement made by Padungan assemblyman Wong King Wei of his intention to quit DAP late last night came as a surprise to many but it is also becoming food for thought over the way the party is treating dissenting voices. Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) president Dr Sim Kui Hian said he agreed with Wong’s claim that DAP had kept on employing politics of attacks even when they became part of the ruling Pakatan Harapan government before. “Wong is providing our people food for thought by voicing out his disappointment over DAP’s refusal to listen to any dissenting voice and lack of inclusivity in opinion and viewpoints,” he said in a statement today.
