PETALING JAYA: The proposed amendments to the Road Transport Act 1987 to address reckless driving and driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be tabled at the Parliament sitting on July 13 after being endorsed by Cabinet, says Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong (pic). The Transport Minister said several outstanding amendments have been finalised by the Attorney General's Chambers this week after the Cabinet's approval in principle of the proposed amendments to the Road Transport Act 1987 (Act 333), especially for Sections 41 to 45 on June 24. "These final amendments or Bill which should be endorsed by the Cabinet soon, will then be tabled in the upcoming Parliament sitting, which begins on July 13.
