KOTA KINABALU: The body of a Form Three student from Kota Marudu was found hanging from the ceiling of a hostel belonging to a private school at Jalan Damai here yesterday. Police have currently ruled out foul play in the death of the girl, whose identity has not been released. City police chief Habibi Majinji said the body was found by the girl’s friends and the hostel warden at about 6.45pm. Initial investigations found that the girl had been with four of her friends in a room of the hostel before that. “Shortly after, the friends left but later they returned to call the girl for a study session,” he said when contacted. “They found the door locked and felt something was amiss.
