The Umno supreme council has set Nov 27 and 28 for its 2020 annual general assembly (AGM), after party meetings have been given the green light to proceed by the authorities following the Covid-19 outbreak. Announcing the dates on Instagram, Umno secretary-general Ahmad Maslan said the assembly would abide by any standard operating procedures (SOPs) set by the government at that time. The 74th AGM will be held at Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) in Kuala Lumpur. Meanwhile, Ahmad said the party has set Nov 26 for the assemblies of its Women’s, Youth and Puteri wings, with the officiating ceremony for all three assemblies to be held the night before.
