COVID-19 | The Kulim Municipal Council has imposed restrictions on business hours in several sub-districts (mukim) following Covid-19 outbreaks in the area. In a notice posted on its Facebook page last night, it said all businesses could only operate from 8am to 8pm, effective yesterday. The exceptions are the restrictions on fuel stations (not including convenience stores at the station), clinics, wholesale markets and factories authorised by the International Trade and Industry Ministry. In addition, eateries are only allowed to offer takeaways or drive-through meals as dine-in services are prohibited. The council also expanded its list of markets that have been ordered to close temporarily, from the initial two-night markets to the current list of six morning and night markets.
