Pertubuhan Jaringan Melayu Malaysia (JMM) president Azwanddin Hamzah urged the authorities to reconsider an arrest warrant for him over his failure to attend committal proceedings filed against him by former primary industries minister Teresa Kok. Azwanddin (above) said this is because he did not receive a notice to attend the proceedings. “In the bankruptcy notice published by Berita Harian dated Aug 12, there were no notice or instructions given to me to attend court on Aug 28. “If I had received any notice or calls from Kok’s lawyer, then I definitely would have attended court and given my full cooperation. “I would like to state that the action taken by the court in issuing an arrest warrant against me is shocking and should be reconsidered,” he said in a statement yesterday.
