A Nepali security guard who was seen beaten by another in a video that has gone viral on social media recently has been arrested. The victim’s lawyer Sumitha Shaanthinni Kishna said she went along with her client to give his witness statement regarding the alleged assault at the Wangsa Maju district police headquarters at 4pm today. They were accompanied by a Nepali Embassy official who acted as the victim’s interpreter. “Later, he was detained at the Kuala Lumpur police headquarters for investigation in relation to another report made against him by a third party,” she said in a statement today.
