In a statement, Senior Minister for Security Ismail Sabri Yaakob said 112 individuals were issued compound fines, 17 were remanded and two were released on bail. Most of the arrests, Ismail said, were for activities which made physical distancing difficult. Among the other offences were not wearing face masks, failure to provide materials for contact tracing registration and operating shops beyond the permitted hours.
