PETALING JAYA: New applications for Bantuan Prihatin Nasional (BPN) 2.0 can be made starting Oct 15 for those who have never received the cash aid before, says the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN).In a frequently asked questions (FAQ) guideline released yesterday, LHDN said BPN 2.0 recipients were those who had received the BPN 2020 aid. For those who are eligible but did not receive the BPN 2020 aid, they can submit a fresh application starting next month.“BPN 2.0 recipients will be those who received the last payment of BPN 2020. “You do not need to apply for BPN 2.0 if you have previously received the last payment, ” said LHDN.On Wednesday, Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced that RM7bil in cash aid under BPN 2.0 would be channelled to 10.6 million recipients to ease the financial burden of those in the B40 and M40 income brackets. - Star
