SABAH POLLS | PBS tonight announced that it will be contesting 15 seats in the Sabah election, six of which will clash with BN. PBS, which is part of the Perikatan Nasional-led federal government but is going solo in the Sabah election, said it initially planned to contest 25 seats. "But (out of) respect to the other like-minded parties, we decided that most importantly is to win and take over the Sabah government for the sake of the people and future development of the state," said PBS president Maximus Ongkili (photo, below) in a statement. Despite its scaled-back ambitions, PBS will clash with Umno in three seats and with PBRS in another three seats.
