The Prisons Department has announced the suspension of all prison visits due to the ongoing increase in the number of Covid-19 cases."The visiting sessions between prison inmates and their families at institutions throughout the country are suspended from Oct 14 until further notice."This includes meeting sessions between inmates and lawyers, the Royal Police Malaysia, embassies, and non-governmental organisations," said the Prisons Department in a statement today."This is one of the steps to prevent and curb transmission of Covid-19 among inmates and individuals in contact with prison institutions."The Prisons Department added that further enquiries can be addressed to the respective prisons.Information on prison institutions can also be found at the link, here.Malaysia reported 660 new Covid-19 cases as of noon yesterday, bringing the total active ca…
