COVID-19 | Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah has reminded healthcare workers to be diligent in adhering to standard operating procedures (SOPs) after hundreds contracted Covid-19 while in the line of duty.As of Dec 18, 280 medical frontliners have been infected while 1,697 have been quarantined after coming into close contact with positive cases.At a press conference this evening, Hisham shared that healthcare workers at Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah (HTAR) in Klang, Selangor contracted the virus from two clusters - the Batu Sembilan cluster and the Yayasan cluster. “When they are infected and when they have symptoms, they (healthcare workers) should not come to the hospital and should take leave.“But some who are infected and have symptoms still come to the hospitals.
