Armed forces veterans' group Persatuan Patriot Kebangsaan wants the Defence Ministry (Mindef) to ensure that veterans in need of aid are able to receive the funds allocated to them, especially those who live in remote areas."Patriot is thankful for the government for providing a one-time Bantuan Khas Kewangan (special finance aid) of RM300 to all veterans including those with no pension, which was announced by the finance minister when he tabled Budget 2021 in Parliament."Although RM300 is not a big amount, it is better than nothing. Since 2019, all pension and non-pension veterans should have received a total of RM1,250.
