PARLIAMENT | Dewan Rakyat Speaker Azhar Azizan Harun has rejected a motion to discipline Shabudin Yahaya (PN-Tasek Gelugor) over a budget vote miscount.The speaker said after evaluating documents presented to him, he found that the miscount did not amount to misleading the Dewan Rakyat.He said this in a letter to Fahmi Fadzil (Harapan-Lembah Pantai) who had filed the motion to refer Shabudin to Parliament's rights and privileges committee.Previously Azhar had asked Shabudin to show cause after Fahmi submitted a motion.On Nov 30, Shabudin had mistakenly marked as supporting a vote from Nazri Abdul Aziz (BN-Padang Rengas) during a bloc vote on Budget 2021 allocations for the Finance Ministry.The Bersatu lawmaker admitted to the mistake and apologised the next day.Fahmi said the speaker's decision sent the wrong signal."This is a regrettable decision and sends the wr…
