The government has placed two condominiums in Genting Highlands under enhanced movement control order (MCO).The condominiums affected were Amber Court Apartment and Ria Apartment.Also locked down was a rumah kongsi (informal workers' housing) in Kampung Semaut, Bentong, Pahang.This came after 55 cases of Covid-19 were recorded in the three localities, between Dec 6 and Dec 8.Defence Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the lockdown will last until Dec 23.Earlier, it was reported that army and police personnel have cordoned off the two condominiums as well as the Kayangan Apartment.On Friday, the Health Ministry announced the Jalan Genting cluster involving the Titiwangsa district of Kuala Lumpur and Bentong district of Pahang where Genting Highlands is located.To date, some 1,154 people have been screened for Covid-19 in this cluster, with 164 testing positive.An Amber Court …
