PETALING JAYA: Umno must not lean towards DAP in order to get Chinese support, says Tan Sri Annuar Musa.The former Barisan Nasional secretary-general opined that MCA should remain as Umno’s “one and only option” for cooperation. He listed three main reasons why Umno should not cooperate with DAP.“DAP is a relatively new party that was only founded in the 1960s. “On the other hand, Umno has been cooperating with MCA way back before independence with similar political beliefs, taking the moderation approach to solving problems.“Secondly, according to the DAP constitution, it is a socialist party while MCA is not.“Thirdly, DAP’s longest cooperation with any party was just 22 months, while Umno and MCA have been together for over 60 years, ” he said in an interview with Sin Chew Daily.The…
