Damansara MP Tony Pua Kiam Wee is suing former PKR member Chegubard for defamation over an allegation linked to the appointment of Sime Darby Property's CEO.The civil action is over Chegubard’s two postings uploaded to his official Facebook page between Oct 23, 2019, and Sept 19, 2019, during the previous Pakatan Harapan administration.The DAP lawmaker filed the writ of summons at the Kuala Lumpur High Court on Jan 27 this year, listing Badrul Hisham Shaharin, the real name of Chegubard, as the defendant.According to cause papers sighted by Malaysiakini, Pua is suing over allegations related to purported efforts to ensure businessperson Voon Tin Yow be appointed as CEO of Sime Darby Property.
