Petaling Jaya district police chief Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid has urged the public not to be fooled into sharing their nude pictures.He said there have been 21 such cases in Petaling Jaya for this year alone.He added that these cases involved victims being blackmailed after they have shared nude photographs or videos."Police have also identified 12 cases where the victims made payments to the suspect totalling RM33,788.88."A vast majority of the cases involve syndicates which fooled victims on social media," he said.Other cases also involved suspects who are known to the victims, such as former husbands or former boyfriends.
