Amanah Youth chief Shazni Munir Mohd Ithnin has lodged a police report against de facto Law Minister Takiyuddin Hassan over the latter's remark that the cabinet would advise the Yang di-Pertuan Agong on whether or not the emergency should be extended.In his report, Shazni raised concern that the minister's statement may incite discontent against the ruler."His statement can be conceived as Takiyuddin seemingly reminding the king that he has no other choice except to do as instructed by the cabinet when the statement itself was baseless," he said.Shazni was referring to a June 12 statement by Takiyuddin who claimed that it is the cabinet’s responsibility to advise the king on whether or not the emergency should be extended beyond its initial August deadline.He added that Takiyuddin's statement contradicted Section 2 of the Emergency Ordinance (Essential Po…
