The government is holding discussions on vaccinating examination-year students against Covid-19 to pave way for the gradual reopening of schools, following the Drug Control Authority’s (DCA) decision to approve the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine for people aged 12 and above.The discussions include vaccinating their teachers and the school’s support staff as well.During a webinar hosted by the Oxford & Cambridge Society of Malaysia last night, National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (NIP) coordinating minister Khairy Jamaluddin said Education Minister Mohd Radzi Md Jidin had asked him whether Form 5 and Form 6 students could be “vaccinated first”.Khairy said: “That makes a lot of sense because I think kids who are facing public exams really need to get back to school to prepare for their exams.“So, we are working out something with the Ministry of Education to focus on exam years…
