Ten individuals at the men’s Psychiatric Ward in Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL) have tested positive for Covid-19, confirmed Health Minister Dr Adham Baba.Following this, he said the ward has been "frozen", with existing patients kept in the affected ward. The minister said HKL will not close down its wards, even when new Covid-19 cases are detected at the hospital."Usually, we would just 'freeze' the affected ward or compartment to curb the outbreak," Adham was quoted as saying by Sin Chew Daily today.Explaining the term, he said freezing the ward means existing patients remain in the same area while no new patients will be admitted there.This is meant to monitor the patients connected to the zero-case beds and those who had close contact with the infected patients, he said, adding that the result would be known after two days of freezing the ward.HKL…
