Dewan Rakyat Speaker Azhar Azizan Harun today denied a news report claiming that he had rejected 15 motions calling for his removal.In a statement today, Azhar (above) said while his office has received such motions, they were forwarded to the deputy speaker's office to avoid a conflict of interest."I have never interfered in any matters concerning the motions. In fact, I don't know what were the decisions made by the deputy speaker," he said.In view of this, Azhar said that the news report in question published by Utusan Malaysia was "lies and slander" designed to tarnish him."I will seek legal advice on this matter soon," he added.According to the Utusan report, there were "no less" than 15 motions calling for Azhar's ouster.However, the report claimed that Azhar had stopped it from being debated when Parliament sits betwee…
