Iskandar Puteri MP Lim Kit Siang has told Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin to not ‘tai-chi’ recent alarming Covid-19 death rates and brought-in-dead (BID) cases.The DAP veteran, in a statement today, said Khairy should instead give a proper answer as to why there are high Covid-19 death rates and high BID cases in Malaysia.His statement follows remarks made by the minister yesterday that the high number of Covid-19 deaths reported was not reflective of actual death figures that occur within 24 hours.Speaking from a press conference at Kota Kinabalu, Khairy said he expects Klang Valley death rates to be reduced in the next two to three weeks, or as soon as they clear the backlog of reported deaths.In the past seven days, the Klang Valley has continued to report three-digit deaths almost every day, despite the downward trend of the number of its Covid-19 cases.
