Pakatan Harapan has urged the government to establish a single point of authority to coordinate technical and vocational education and training (TVET) in the country, saying that money would continue to be wasted otherwise.In a statement yesterday, Harapan's TVET Committee said the current TVET ecosystem in Malaysia is not sufficiently equipped to meet the needs of the graduates it is supposed to cater to."We have spoken out on multiple occasions regarding the fundamental problems afflicting our TVET institutions..."(This includes the) lack of a centralised accreditation system for TVET programs, or the lack of quality control and assessment for teaching staff to name just a few..."These are now issues highlighted again in the Auditor-General’s Report 2019 (Series 2)," said the committee, which consists of five Harapan leaders.According to them, the rep…
