The government has paid RM84.2 million to 13,884 businesses in grants and loans for subscription to digitalisation services.KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 322,177 employers and 2.64 million workers have benefitted from the government’s wage subsidy programme (PSU) with approved subsidy applications reaching RM12.96 billion as at Oct 1, 2021, said finance minister Tengku Zafrul Aziz.The PSU initiative is parked under the government’s Prihatin Rakyat economic stimulus package (Prihatin) and short-term economic recovery plan (Penjana).Tengku Zafrul said that under the Kita Prihatin package, wage subsidy assistance was extended for an additional three months for existing employers who received PSUs, while the six-month PSU assistance was given to all applicants between Oct 1 and Dec 31, 2020.“As at Oct 1, 2021, a total of RM1.395 billion has been channelled to 80,839 employers to contin…
