MIC won't unilaterally join the electoral seat negotiations by Perikatan Nasional (PN), party deputy president M Saravanan said.As a BN component party, he said, MIC would wait for a decision by the coalition on whether to negotiate with PN."We need to understand that MIC, MCA and Umno are not just political parties. The three parties are part of a struggle."To date, it has to be a BN consensus," Saravanan (above) told journalists after the MIC central working committee meeting in Kuala Lumpur last night.He said this when asked to respond to theannouncementby Bersatu president Muhyiddin Yassin that PN will proceed with electoral seat negotiations without BN.Both PN and BN are part of the ruling coalition but Umno, the main party in BN, has indicated plans to take on PN in the next general election.
