The Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) has confirmed that one of its jets has crashed at the Butterworth Air Force Base.It said the incident involved a Hawk jet fighter (example above) at about 10.07pm at one of the airbase's runways. Defence Minister Hishammuddin Hussein later said it was a Hawk 108.
"The RMAF is now taking immediate action and will update developments regarding this accident.
