The Perlis state assembly sitting yesterday passed three new bills on the payments of fees, public parks, and the state anthem.Menteri Besar Azlan Man said the three bills were the Perlis State Fee Enactment 2021 Bill, Perlis State Public Parks Enactment 2021 Bill, and Perlis State Anthem Enactment 2021 Bill.Azlan (above) said the fee and public parks enactments could help bring revenue to the state government.“Prior to this, we don’t have any law or enactment which allows the collection of fee payment.“For example, we have government assets such as halls, stalls and sports facilities... and the law was formulated so that the collection can be done in an orderly manner in accordance with the requirements of the law and also the financial process.“The same justification applies for Perlis public parks as there must be a law which can be used as a legal framework to enable the g…
