KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 12, 2023: Less than half of the voters in the six state by-election today have cast their votes as of 1pm. The Election Commission in their latest update stated only Terengganu has reached the 50 per cent voter turnout, followed by Kedah (49 per cent), Penang (46 per cent), Selangor (44 per cent), Negri Sembilan (42 per cent) and Kelantan (40 per cent).Voter turnout for the Kuala Terengganu parliamentary by-election was at 47 per cent as of 1pm.Over 9.67 million registered voters are eligible to vote in the six-state elections. All polling centres will be closed at 6pm.
