Police have started an investigation on Pasir Puteh MP Nik Muhammad Zawawi Salleh over his recent remarks on the Christian Bible. This came after several police reports were lodged against the PAS lawmaker for his comments on the matter. Speaking to the media after an event in Kuala Lumpur today, Inspector-General of Police Abdul Hamid Bador (above) said witness statements had already been taken. "We have opened an investigation paper because police reports were made in Sarawak. We have recorded witness statements. "We are now waiting for a report from the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission on the type of media that was used to make the issue 'viral'," he added.
